Since 1826 Cowes Week has played a key part in the British sporting summer calendar and is one of the UK's longest running and most successful sporting events. It now stages up to 40 daily races for over 1,000 boats and is the largest sailing regatta of its kind in the world.

Skandia Cowes Week is a fusion of many exciting elements, with its great mix of competitive sailing and social activities. The 8,500 competitors range from Olympic and world class professionals to weekend sailors. In excess of 100,000 spectators come to watch the sailing, enjoy the parties and live entertainment, and to experience the unique atmosphere. It is genuinely a one-of-a-kind event – come and see for yourself!

1. Coded Charter Vessels needed. Due to popular demand BH Marine is looking for more sail and motor charter vessels in Poole and Weymouth. If you are considering chartering your own vessel then please call Ben on 07515 663799 for more information about how to generate income for your boat.

3. 70.3 Ironman Finisher Ben Harris. Ben completes the 70.3 Exmoor gruelling Ironman challenge on the 15th June, raising over £1,000 for the British Heart Foundation. The distances were 1.5 mile swim, 57 mile cycle, 13 mile run, all in a Sunday morning starting at 6am with over 1,300 world class athletes. Ben's next challenge is the Sherbourne 2009 Ironman 2.4 swim, 115 cycle & 26.2 run in a day! If you would like to sponsor Ben then please get in touch ben@bhmarine.co.uk.
