The RYA Coastal Skipper / Yachtmaster Offshore Theory course is an advanced shorebased qualification designed for experienced skippers who wish to undertake longer coastal and offshore passages. Building on the knowledge gained during the RYA Day Skipper Theory course, it provides the theoretical knowledge required for the RYA Coastal Skipper Practical course and those preparing for the RYA Yachtmaster Coastal or Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate of Competence.
This comprehensive course develops advanced navigation, meteorology, passage planning and seamanship skills, enabling skippers to undertake challenging passages by day and night with confidence.
