Practical preparation and revision for candidates working towards the RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Coastal Certificate of Competence in sail. Training focuses on skippering, close-quarters yacht handling under power and sail, navigation and pilotage, man-overboard recovery, passage planning, safety and overall yacht management. Candidates should already have suitable practical experience and theory knowledge before attending. Format Practical training afloat on a sailing yacht. Price £895 for the sail preparation course. Is this a beginner course? No. Yachtmaster preparation is revision and refinement for experienced candidates. It is not a substitute for the practical experience and theory knowledge required before examination. Can training be tailored? Yes. The preparation is adapted around the candidate's strengths, weaknesses, vessel type and examination requirements. Where is training based? Training is normally arranged from Weymouth or another agreed suitable location depending on the programme and vessel. What should I send before booking?
