Welcome to Seas the Day, our comfortable 38ft cruising yacht based in the heart of beautiful Weymouth Marina.
Whether you are joining us for an RYA sailing course, skippered charter, sailing experience or simply enjoying the unique opportunity of staying aboard, we look forward to welcoming you.

About the Yacht
Seas the Day is a professionally maintained cruising yacht which is fully IIMS / MCA Commercially Coded (Category 2).
She is licensed to carry:

Please note that parking within the marina is reserved for berth holders only. Public parking is available nearby on Commercial Road.
Staying Onboard
Staying aboard a yacht is a unique experience.
Although the yacht provides excellent facilities, it should not be compared to a hotel room. Think of it as comfortable waterside accommodation where you can wake up surrounded by boats in one of the South Coast's finest marinas.
Many guests tell us this becomes one of the highlights of their visit.

We provide comfortable mattresses only.
Water
Fresh water is available onboard for washing, cooking and showering.
We provide four complimentary bottles of drinking water in the refrigerator. We recommend bringing additional bottled drinking water for your stay.
Cooking
The yacht has a fully equipped galley with a modern gas cooker should you wish to prepare meals onboard.
However, with Weymouth's excellent restaurants only a few minutes away, many guests choose to dine ashore.

Your safety is extremely important to us.

The yacht has undergone a full commercial risk assessment.

Always use the guardrails where provided.
Yacht Security
The yacht is fitted with GPS tracking and security monitoring.
During accommodation-only stays:

Engine keys are securely retained by BH Marine Academy.

The engine is disabled.

The yacht must not be moved.
These measures protect both guests and neighbouring vessels.
Unauthorised use of the yacht will be reported immediately to the relevant marina and harbour authorities.
Respect for Others
We want everyone to enjoy their stay.
Please:

Respect neighbouring boats

Keep noise to a minimum, particularly during the evening

Avoid loud music

Treat the yacht as you would your own home
Guests whose behaviour causes disturbance may be asked to leave without refund.
Looking After the Yacht
This is our family yacht and we take enormous pride in maintaining her to a high standard.
Please treat the yacht, its equipment and furnishings with care.
All equipment is checked following every booking

The yacht "Seas the Day" is fully accredited by the RYA for all sailing courses in the sail cruising scheme. Why not learn to sail?
Our 38ft yacht is a 3 cabin, comfortable and clean boat to stay on.
The yacht “Sea the Day” is currently IIMS / MCA commercially coded for 8 people day and 6 people at night for up to 60 miles from a safe haven for RYA training, skippered charter, self skippering (with the appropriate MCA / RYA licences) and for experiences of staying on board.
Based from Weymouth marina since 2004.

Parking in the marina car park is strictly for the owner only. There are plenty of car parks surrounding the marina on commercial road.

Important information:
This is a family yacht and we have been very excited to offer this opportunity for you to experience this.
"Seas the Day" is freshly inspected and fully commercial to MCA CAT 2 standard for skipper charters, if you wish to have a charter and day out on the yacht at sea please contact us at admin@bhmarine.co.uk
Please treat the yacht and belongings with respect and leave the boat as you find it. We fully itemised all belongings on the boat and these will be checked on check out after every course, charter or experience on board bookings.
This is posh camping and not a hotel room and spa, it is a wonderful experience to stay on the yacht, be close to the town centre and feel at one with the sea.
We do absolutely listen to everyone for feed back, so if you require something please do ask.
Bedding:
Please bring with you pillows, sleeping bags and a duvet, we DO NOT PROVIDE BEDDING other than a soft bed mattress to lay on.
Cooking:
We do have a brand new gas cooker but encourage you to eat in town if you can.
Water:
There is water in two tanks on the boat, however, we suggest that this is used for washing up and showers on board. We do supply 4 x bottles of water in the fridge, please bring your own and drink these for your personal use.
Security:
The marina and yacht is fully covered by CCTV externally and a gated marina, so you are safe.
This boat is fully tracked so if you are tempted to take it for a spin, without us knowing whilst staying with us, we will know about it immediately and will therefore inform the bridge lift Weymouth harbour team and you are likely to be chased down by the authorities. The engine keys are with our team of instructors only and the engines are disable during your stay with us. This is to keep you and other boat owners safe.
Risk assessment:
We have carried out a full risk assessment on the boat and as such we ask you to be careful climbing on and off the boat and walking around her whilst holding on to the guard rails. Walking around the yacht and pontoons is purely at your own risk. There are lots of tripping hazards, including the boom above the cockpit, watch what can swing towards your head, you have to be mindful of this especially under the influence of a good night out.
Under the influence of drink and other stuff:
We do reverse the right to remove you from the boat in the event that loud music is played and you are dancing on the decks of the yacht outside of normal sociable hours. The marina staff and authorities will not tolerate any misbehaving. Please be respectful to our boat neighbours and to the Boat Folk marina team.
Teas and coffees:
We supply a full working galley including all the pots, pans, cutlery, cups and bowels, we also supply tea and coffee but not milk!
We have worked in the maritime industry for over 25 years so have seen everything and heard a lot. We are here to offer pleasurable time onboard and we aim to make sure you are happy, if there are any complaints please do email admin@bhmarine.co.uk within 30 days of the booking. We aim to resolve all complaints with a fair and reasonable approach.
