Service Description

This course This is an entry level course which can be run in conjunction with the Basic Skills course. It covers the basics of sailing a yacht, focusing on sailing skills and manoeuvres. Required experience None Minimum duration 2 days Minimum age Recommended age 12 Content The syllabus includes personal safety, slipping and coming alongside, sailing theory, yacht handling under sail and basic safety at sea. Certificate issuing criteria By the end of the course you will have a basic understanding of yacht handling under sail as well as the relevant background knowledge. It is recommended that all participants consolidate this short introduction with the Basic Skills Course. Format Afloat
